Help us fill the COVID-19 gap to keep
Riding into town in 7 weeks!
Help the non-profit Lancaster Event Center fairgrounds keep this $16 million/year event coming into Nebraska in 2020….and in 2021, 2026 and 2027!
With the Governor’s announcements about June last Thursday, it looks like we can meet the health guidelines to conduct this event in mid-July. Great news!!! But we’ve got a new budget gap of $350,000 we need Nebraskans to help us cover to keep these 1500 youth and their families coming to Nebraska for 43 states, 5 Canadian provinces, Australia and Mexico in a normal year.
You can imagine the extra cleaning supplies, staff, ushers, room monitors we have to put in place with no notice to conduct these 13 rodeos over 10 days for 8000 visitors on our 200 acres. Unfortunately this year the public's ability to attend, buy tickets and food, and visit the trade show will be limited so our revenue to cover our costs are down. We have to admit, the COVID-19 virus ate our budget contingency and more! As an operationally unsubsidized event center & fairgrounds, we don’t have the magic fund to cover this COVID-19 gap.
Help us keep the world’s largest rodeo in Nebraska for years to come!!!
Donate here now through May 28 as part of Give to Lincoln Day and your donation can be matched!
